Nursing journey

I once believe that my career path was solely for health care because that’s the only skill I’ve learned. Way back in 2012, I went to Dubai to look for a brighter future. Luckily, after a month I got hired at a Dental Clinic. Though I was well-equipped with my nursing skills from my first job, still the thought of working in a new atmosphere scares me. The clinic practice was quite different from hospital settings. New technologies and dental skills were, in fact, daunting and overwhelming. After weeks of priming persistently, I mastered the skills efficiently.

The Challenge

After a few months, I find peace and comfort with my work. I thought everything was going well. But the challenge doesn’t stop there. I was assigned to do other work beyond my capabilities and it scares me more. The tasks include clerical work like data entry, receptionist duties, and handling database programs. Disappointment infused me but I accepted the task anyway. Having zeroed knowledge in this field, How I’m going to survive? I was skeptical about accepting challenges back then. Should I go back home?

Hard work leads to Success

Anyway, going back home was not an appropriate option. I need to keep up otherwise they will send me home. With a heavy heart, I tried hardest to learn everything and anything related to administrative tasks. With support from the team, I was able to carry out tasks gradually until I became confident with my duty. And then it made me realize no matter how difficult things were, with persistent and hard work you will get through it. As I began to love my tasks, every challenge I overcome gives me a sense of gratification.

Every learning is a new beginning

After 7 years overseas, I decided to be with my family. However, I have this desire to pursue a career remotely. I wanted to enhance my abilities to the next level. While contemplating, I heard tons of stories about freelancer and online jobs which encouraged me to enroll in the academy. There, I met coach Keren. Her exceptional expertise guided me well. Every coaching and lesson greatly enlighten and cultivate me to be the best virtual assistant in the industry.

Changing nature of work might be intimidating to others, but for me, I find it interesting and exciting at this moment. To be tag as a Virtual Assistant thrills me

because I love handling administrative tasks. Thus, I have the heart to help health care providers handle their business with utmost efficiency.
